Contributing to the economic sustainability of the communities in the Gulf of Carpentaria in Northern Territory part of Roper Gulf regional council.

Nathan River Resources Roper Bar Project provided 90 jobs, of which 33 employees were local to the Northern Territory.

OreTech employed 32 for the first phase of the project of which 17 employees were local to the Northern territory, of that number 5 Indigenous employees were fulltime employees.

The project engaged local traditional owner business to undertake the haul road maintenance, which consisted of 23 indigenous employees and their leadership team.

OreTech has a proven track record of engaging Indigenous businesses and recruiting Indigenous people into our workforce. Our Nathan River project employed 5 local Indigenous people, 33 employed out of the Northern Territory. Indigenous employees making up 16% of our total workforce with local hires out of the Northern Territory 53% of our total workforce.

In addition, our total spend was $372K for the period of the 6-month contract period.

We also provide sustainable business support to Indigenous businesses through tendering assistance, tender presentation advice, discounted equipment dry hire rates, maintenance support, and transport and logistics support upon successful contract award.
